About Me
Hi there! I'm Lindsey (but you can call me LL), and I'm a digital communicator who believes that every big, audacious idea deserves to be understood by everyone—not just the experts in the room.
For over 15 years, I've been translating complex concepts into clear, compelling content across healthcare, nonprofits and higher education. Whether I'm crafting donor stewardship campaigns that inspire philanthropy, leading digital transformations that improve patient experiences or developing content strategies that turn 3,000-page websites into streamlined user journeys, my superpower is making the complicated feel simple and accessible.
I'm currently a Senior Copywriter at MERGE, where I specialize in UX copywriting for healthcare clients and create content that bridges the gap between medical expertise and human understanding. Before that, I spent seven years at The University of Kansas Health System, where I led content strategy, managed social media channels and helped patients navigate their healthcare journeys through clearer communication.
What Excites Me
Accessibility-First Communications
I believe good digital communication should work for everyone, which is why I'm always geeking out about #A11Y best practices and inclusive design.
The Art of Translation
Taking clinical research, fundraising strategies or complex healthcare procedures and making them resonate with real people? That's where I thrive.
Multichannel Storytelling
From donor impact reports to social media campaigns to website copy, I love crafting narratives that work seamlessly across every touchpoint.
Continuous Learning
The digital landscape never stops evolving, and neither do I. I'm always diving into the latest trends in UX writing, content strategy and communications.
A Bit More
I'm a late-diagnosed ADHD woman who's learned that my brain's tendency to hyperfocus and make unexpected connections is actually a superpower in content strategy. I live in Southern Oregon with my family, where I spend my free time hiking, reading and probably overanalyzing the copy on every website I visit (occupational hazard).
When I'm not crafting content, you'll find me advocating for work-life balance (while admittedly struggling with it myself), mentoring other communicators or getting distracted by whatever shiny new project has captured my attention this week.
Let's Work Together!
Whether you need someone to lead a content strategy overhaul, write copy that converts or help your team communicate more effectively, I'd love to chat about how we can make your big ideas accessible to everyone who needs to hear them.
